His resulting invective at those who disliked the collection got the sort of media coverage he didn’t need and undoubtedly got his backers worried. What works in one industry doesn’t work in another. While being in-your-face in the music industry doesn’t offend, the fashion world, especially post-Galliano, prefers its divas more restrained. Kanye should have hidden behind a charming spokesman and given only one well timed interview about the lessons learnt from putting together his first collection.
